Little Known Putting Tip - Quiet Eye Golf
Show me some stats. This is all anecdotal just like most golf marketing. Show me some legit tour player stats before the LAB and after the LAB showing improvement. Im still gaming a 1992 Ping Anser. I’ve yet to test anything against it that makes me a better putter.
Love the description of flipping. I've ALWAYS thought flipping was a result of improper body motion and/or path. This is amazing. Thanks!
As a Method of Instruction (MOI) this approach looks very sound. Given the wide variety of ways to swing a gold club, (body vs arms hands, etc) this MOI looks like it could be applied to any of them by breaking down the movement into its component parts. As I approach 70 I would view the body driven approach of turning the body down to square the clubface with skepticism if you want to avoid injury. YMMV, especially if you're in your 30s...
Try a glove
However…..if you rush too much and don’t finish the backswing you’ll get disconnected and more often than not throw open your lead shoulder and the extra kinetic energy will simply result in an even bigger, longer slice.
I enjoy your content very much. however, your challenge in describing the putters did not provide a lot of information. 1. feel many times is best when you're not ;looking' at the thing you are trying to 'feel' so maybe close your eyes and try them 2. !putting to a target/hole as opposed to maybe putting to the edge of the green provides no 'consequence' and won't alter our opinion. thanks for reading
Curios y no df3
Don’t have one yet! Need to!
Interesting watching this now because I think I saw a lot of players go pretty conservative off the tee this US open
I think we saw Bryson stick pretty closely to this strategy.
@@golfsciencelab and saw a good amount of irons from Rory who had it in the bag till he got the flat stick in his hands
Love my Broom Mez Max 1!
Same! I'm a couple months in and finally feeling more comfortable.
The view over the putter with a broom, coupled with what I can only explain as a bowling/rolling arm swing to measure speed is so simple. Yes, there is a learning curve, but once you get over the stigma bull it produces so many on my line roll outs it’s amazing. Put a line on a ball and compare to your standard putter, no chance you get it rolling end over end like a Lab! This will be like snowboarding in time, if you were around in the 90’s and skied you get the reference.
Agreed!
Good stuff, I have tried them very briefly at local golf shop, need some more time with the OG DF. It looks funny but seems widely loved.
Yes would recommend!
What mat is that and do you like it?
Just a cheap sub $150 off Amazon!
Driver?
Over?
I’m interested in that broomstick. I don’t know why but it looks good to my eyes.
I felt the same way. Didn't need to do but it has made putting more fun.
I been playing with a garage built broom stick and been loving it. About to pull the trigger on Mezz max but with the upgraded shaft you looking at 1k + for a putter. That seems a bit in the crazy category.
It's really fricking good 😬 I'm enjoying the broomstick lifestyle this season.
What's the length of the putter in the video ?
standard.
Smooths one out there at 175 ball sped. Oh to be young again. Just wait until father time starts catching up.
My dude
Could not get past the "ping" in the DF2.1. Such a turn off.
I notice it when directly comparing putters but if it’s the only one you use it starts to become normal. That’s my experience.
I've also had a putter I liked that had the same pingy sound, that was hard to take (Odyssey R-Ball). But I currently have the DF3 counterbalanced with the TPT shaft in my bag, and the sound is *really* solid.
It's gona be fun to compare DF3 VS DF2.1
Need to try that one out for sure!
Are the camera guys drunk? Content is great but the production is giving me motion sickness.
😂
What is meant by “no bogeys within 150 yards”??
I love anything with Scott Fawcett? You got a full video with him at nr. 2? Where!! 😂
It was a few years ago! If you search on the channel you can find the full thing. Also did a podcast with him that week.
I am really looking forward to trying this out. Makes so much sense.
It's such a great strategy! Hope it helps.
If I try to speed up my hands I can get up to 102 mph clubhead speed, but totally no control of the club on the downswing at all and will either glance the ball or hit the ground first with the club. It works fine for these guys, but not for me. I have been golfing for 45 years and have improved, but not what these guys do. I am a strong guy also. I have huge endurance also. This video does not help me at all!☹
There's two parts to the equation. Your ability to swing fast. And then also the ability to strike it int he middle of the club face. Separating those two can be helpful when training.
Jokes on you...I've been as low as 4 and I'd struggle with the 20 handicapper drill🤗😂
HAHA. Yea I agree on that one.
Your jumpy video is giving me a panic attack Hold the frickin camera still
Just feel like he doesn’t need to shallow his wedges. Seems like he’s learning a driver swing on his shortest clubs
Where are you playing?
too young to be anchoring....LOL
I believe that Tiger is so great because he delivered miracle shots under pressure to crush the opponent's morale. Period.
I love the idea of speed training and trying to gain distance. However, make sure you're healthy and can physically do it. Second, if you're not fundamentally sound it's a bad idea. You would gain more speed by cleaning up your swing and getting your fundamentals in order.
Nice a Minnesota guy !!
Great !!!
great video, will definitely be coming back and rewatching in a couple days
Awesome, thank you!
I can’t believe y’all didn’t acknowledge that huge turkey in the background!
well there is useful insights here, but come on - this guy is a scratch golfer!
What iPad do you use? The pro?
Yes! Ipad pro.
What golf net and turf mat are you using? Want to set up something in my garage if you have any recommendations!
It's the Net Return and just a cheap mat off Amazon. Works great!
I have a bag of foam balls, and I can air whiff with the best of them. Now, I think I see a strategy, involving these balls, that can help me get better at 73. The freeze tactic is new to me, but it seems logical, as it really seems to help feel and perform a proper weight shift. That is the hardest part of the swing for me, as I tend to be late to the party so that, even when I get clean strikes, I can't seem to deliver the clubhead speed that I think I should be able to deliver. Perhaps this technique will allow me to make up for my wasted youth riding nuclear submarines. LOL Thanks, gentlemen. Best golf video I've seen this year.
I will be honest...it seemed like an interesting discussion by 2 guys very passionate about what they do, but I'm not sure I got anything out of their discussion. Like listening to 2 great musicians playing a song. Somewhere in all the "notes" is a melody, but it gets lost in all their "riffs".
He makes it sound like the 7k setup is nothing😂
next time you do this test, please use 3 different colored balls so we can tell easily which one is which. by the way the best option was 3iron / 3 iron/ chip
I prefer the 56 spinner off the toe and the 64 for going at the pin
Wow! Some videos identify the back problem but this one helps to correct and strengthen the muscles and increase mobility. Already one of my most valuable videos
Out yet?
Keep in mind his Wedge is probably a 41 deg, which is the8 iron in old money.
Off topic but what are the golf shoes worn by the guy on the left?
111 swing speed and the tour pro average is 115
Random practice for someone who is grooving a new swing seems very inefficient. In my opinion until you can repeat a swing and swing result with as many variables as possible removed, how are you going to do it on a course? Granted you have to mindful of what you are doing with video, trackman, etc. Obviously mindlessly pounding balls of the mat won’t do much good in terms of getting better if you don’t fully take in the feels of what you think your doing and what your actually doing.
